PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Lead Instructor. iD Gaming Academy, Various Locations. (May 2010 - August 2015)

Supervised instruction and coordinated team of instructor-counselors at multi-week boarding program for college-bound youth interested in careers in Game Design. Worked closely with Academy director to facilitate lab setup and shift supervision, while providing supervision for student dormitories and administration of medications. Delivered courses in Game Studio Production, 3D Modeling & Animation, and Game Development for Android and iOS.

Program Specialist. Digital Harbor Foundation. (September 2014 - 2015)

Designed and implemented Maker curricula for assorted ages to be delivered through core hours instruction as well as specialized workshops in 3D Modeling and Printing, Stop Motion Animation, Programming and Robotics, Visual Effects and Graphic Design, as well as Concept Development and Video Game Design.

 

Teacher. Baltimore Creative Alliance. (2014)

Designed curricula and taught workshops in fine and digital art at locations throughout Baltimore. Worked with Baltimore City Public Library to deliver workshops on drawing, storytelling, and character development for comics and games.

 

Instructor of Digital Media. American Career Institute (July 2010 – January 2013)

Primary responsibilities include: providing instruction in classes covering Introduction to 3D Modeling and Animation, Advanced Digital 3D with Autodesk 3D Studio Max, and Video Game Development, while ensuring that all school policies and procedures are adhered to. As an instructor, I work within the Education Department with a team of interdisciplinary Instructors and Administrators to improve school-wide classroom management and curriculum delivery. During my time at ACI I have refined classroom layout and developed lesson plans to better facilitate delivery of the approved curriculum, while working with Digital Media Instructors across multiple campuses to develop and improve the Digital Media and DM- Game Development Course Programs.

Taught and Mentored Students age 7-13 in multimedia courses, including game animation with 3D Studio Max, game mod creation within Platinum Arts Sandbox and Stop Motion Animation using clay and assorted materials. Tutored students in reading and writing and assisted with homework completion. Supervised central space and front desk area, coordinating child care, instruction and customer service.

Instructor in Game Design duties include teaching, mentoring and supervising after class duties as, as well as overseeing curriculum in Programming, Robotics, Graphic Design, Animation, Web Design and 3D Computer Modeling. Provided instruction and original artwork for public and private painting classes. Facilitated Setup-Breakdown of event locations, and provided customer service and promotional service.

 

3D Studio Max Design Consultant.  Samsung SNS America (March - May 2013)

Collaborated with an international team of technical writers to create 3D technical illustrations and art assets for revisions of field installation manuals for Samsung clients. Provided 3D Modeled illustrations, editing and technical writing expertise for English translations, as well as formatting and graphics chores in Adobe Creative Suite.

Create original concept art; supervise asset creation to ensure unified game aesthetic, design and construct game environment using original modular construction method within engine (UT2k4).
