Matthew Tobias Woodle

 

Instructor of Game Design & Digital Media

 

A Maryland native, Matthew possesses graduate and undergraduate degrees from Savannah College of Art and Design in Interactive Design and Game Development. Matthew transitioned to his career in video game development in 2001 as a consultant on art direction for PC video game titles. Since then, he has worked as a 3D Artist, Production Consultant, Art and Level Design Team Lead, and Artistic Director on PC game titles and independent Mod Teams in Baltimore, Savannah, and online. A member of the International Game Developer’s Association, and Video Game Voter’s Network, Matthew is an active proponent of the advancement of the field of Game Design as an Art, and its use as both a medium of social expression and a vehicle for social change. Since 2008 he has worked as a lecturer, counselor, and educator, teaching courses in 3D Modeling & Animation and Video Game Design at the American Career Institute in Baltimore, Internal Drive Tech Camps, and Game Design & Development Academies at Vassar College, University of Maryland, and Harvard.
